Rice pudding

A traditional oven baked rice pudding. Serves 4

Ingredients

50g (2 oz) short grain rice

25g (1 oz) white sugar

1 pint (568ml) milk

Knob of butter

Nutmeg

Method

Preheat oven to 150° Celsius

Place all ingredients in an ovenproof dish. Stir.
Bake in oven for 2 hours (or 1 1/2 hours if using a fan oven).

Stir after 30 minutes.

A golden brown colour shows that it is cooked. Adjust cooking time if top looks under/over cooked.
