Roast grouse

A quick and simple recipe for roast grouse.



Oven ready grouse (1 per person)

Knobs of butter, softened

A few sprigs of sage

Salt and pepper



Pre-heat oven to 230 Celsius

Season the bird inside and out, and push the sage into the cavity of the bird.

Rub the grouse with butter.

Place in a roasting tray in the oven for about 15 minutes.

To serve, leave whole on the plate for your guests to carve themselves.
